Strategic Managers create value by re-imaging the industry, they come up with superior business models – by devising new ways of doing business. They provide unique products or services for which customers are happy to pay a premium, or they cut costs without reducing quality, or ideally, the do both: they sell for more and produce for less. 

Strategic Managers value thought above action, the never let action (or conformity) drive out thought. They think very hard on how to do more with less – strategic thinking. They usually don’t follow routines like most Managers tend to do. Strategic Managers are ambitious.

Strategic thinking is however only the first step that Strategic Managers take, due to the fact that Strategic Managers tend to be ambitious, the usually “force” themselves to commit to something unfamiliar with determination.

With those elements in place a Strategic Manager is usually able to create new or better business models - as long as it leads to higher prices and lower costs or a combination of both.  Innovative ideas are only good when producing the desired results.

Strategic Managers are usually:

  • Highly collaborative
  • They possess disciplined authenticity
  • Their economic models work
  • They appeal to customers in different and new ways

The Truth About Success and Leadership

One of the greatest freedoms each of us has, is the freedom to choose how we view our roles in the world and the power we all have to make positive decisions in whatever conditions we happen to find ourselves.

That freedom allows us to give nothing best, than the very best. The commitment of doing the very best, works wonders in people's life in the sense that it provides an energy that makes people feel good about themselves and be successful.

Success doesn't just happen because someone's stars line up, it happens because of intelligent choices we have chosen to make, success is consciously created, a conscious choice. It's a guaranteed result that comes from commitment.

What's most important is how you see yourself, knowing who you are, knowing the value of work, challenge yourself - which makes your life and work meaningful. You need to own how great you are. Never play victim, it's impossible to build a tribute of success on a foundation of excuses.

Leadership without title is about having an unshakable faith in your vision and unrelenting confidence in your power. Titles bring power but if the title is taken away, the power gets lost - on the other hand Leaders without title never loose the power they have within (natural leadership power).

  • Everyone of us alive has the power to go to work each day and express the absolute best within us. And you need no title to do that.
  • Everyone of us alive today has the power to influence, inspire and elevate each person you meet. And you need no title to do that.
  • Everyone of us alive today can passionately drive positive change in the face of negative conditions. And you need no title to do that.
  • Everyone of us alive today can treat others with respect, appreciation and kindness. And you need no title to do that.

Each one of us has a Leadership switch within us  - it's up to us not only to recognize it, but to also flip the switch - it's a switch between victimhood or leadership.

The Most Important Discipline Required for Success

Leadership is for everyone. If you can breath you can lead.

It is really the single most important discipline required to create success in business.

Leaders are those individuals who do the things that failures aren't willing to do, even though they might not like doing it either. They have the discipline to do what they know to be important and right, versus what's easy and fun.

It's not that leaders don't have a great time, they definitively do.  Because of their ability to create success and lasting positive results, they end up having far more joy and delight that those who do not practice leadership. Few thing generate as much happiness as knowing that you are fully realizing your genius, doing brilliant work and spending your life to the fullest.

Leadership is not only something to do at work, rather is something to practice on your daily activities and life: leadership in our health, in our finances, with our loved ones, within our community and most of all with ourselves (self-leadership) - if you can not lead yourself, you will never be able to lead anyone else around you.

Leaders are those who are content but never satisfied in the sense that they always crave for improvement. They tend to look for improvement in everything possible in a daily basis, relentlessly and with passion.

Leaders are those that realize that each person creates their own destiny. They never let themselves down even in adversity, they never resign to mediocrity or miss opportunities, they never blame others - instead;they are the ones that take responsibility, always look to better themselves, the people around them and society in general. They leave a legacy of success.

Success is created through the performance of a few small daily disciplines that stack up over time to produce achievements far beyond anything you could have ever planned for. Failure on the other hand, is nothing more than the inevitable outcome of a few small acts of daily neglect performed consistently over time.

Anyone can reach success if if they consistently do the right things. Leaders know that trough daily life efforts, the harvest will come - they have faith, discipline and patience. 

Consistency and sustained changed only happens when we shift at an emotional level rather than at a logical level - you want to have it, create it,experience it, enjoy it. The key for leadership is emotion, energy, passion. The more you own your power to make choices, the more powerful your choices become.
