The Number 1 Reason People Don't Achieve Their Goals

Quitting represents the main cause of failure.

Besides the inability to get along with other people, as discussed in our previous post, quitting is the main reason why people generally do not achieve their objectives and goals.

Always remember:

Quitters never win, and winners never quit. This philosophy is as simple and true as it gets, it applies to your own personal life and applies to your business life.

Success is not measured by how easy it is to get there but rather by how persistent you are in reaching your objectives, reaching your goals.

You are unlikely to act on the urge to quit in the face of challenges if you have a clear goal in mind which you know at heart it’s the right goal for you and the people around you.

When you feel like giving up, focus on the outcome rather than the struggle, and push yourself to keep going, no matter how difficult this may seem.

Successful people usually have a clear goal in mind, face the challenges, persist and never quit.

You will reap the rewards when you have the courage and stickability to see your vision through.

If your goals require application development, let us help you get there: Let's talk about your project.

The Secret to Selling Anything

In total their are three steps to selling anything.

  1. Traffic: Get people to see and hear what you are doing without raising their defenses.
  2. Conversion:  Convince the person that what you have is going to solve their problem.
  3. Economics: Give them something of value and get their money.

These three components shape the Power Triangle that governs everything that happens within sales and marketing.

Before selling anything you MUST answer these four questions to see if it viable:

  1. Who would buy this? (Traffic)
  2. What can we say to persuade them to buy? (Conversion)
  3. Can you reach them affordably? (Economics)
  4. Can they give you money? (Economics)

What you have to realize is as a marketer you always have to think backwards. Don't focus on what you're interested in, focus on what you're potential buyer is interested in, what do they do.

If you have the power triangle in mind when doing anything marketing and sales related, you will be more inclined to succeed.

You Can Do Better

It is important to realize that you can do better. The reason most people waste a lot of effort and investment is because they are not focusing on the 80/20 principle.

When you laser focus your efforts on prospects who already understand what you do, know what problems you can solve for them, and prefer the way you go about solving them, you will get far more results from your investment than you ever would have.

80/20 doesn't just apply to customers and billboards and mail drops. It applies to almost everything in business that you can count.

For example:

  • 80 percent of sales are made by 20 percent of people.
  • A great album has 10 songs. Two of them make the pop charts, and one is a number-one hit.
  • 80 percent of the persuasion happens on 20 percent of your web pages.

This is great information to know but it will not be possible until you find someone to sell to. That's what the next article will be about, so stay tuned.
