The Happiness Model

Fotolia_176682980_XS.jpg

There is a happiness model which most people follow in life - the thinking goes like this:

Great Work = Big Success = Be Happy

In real life the model does not work like that since most people tend to set new goals once they reach a previous one - why stop at a college degree if you can get a master's, why stop at being a Manager if you can become a Director; people tend to focus on the next job, next degree, next promotion.

We never get to happiness since it gets pushed further and further away.

What happens if we snap "Be Happy" off the end and stick it at the beginning?
Be Happy = Great Work = Big Success

Everything changes!

So what is the first thing you must do in order to be happy?

Be Happy FIRST.

Secret No. 1:  The first thing you must do before you can be happy is to Be Happy

In our next blog, we will discuss the single biggest reason it's so hard to be happy.

Build Your Own Online Empire

When in Rome, don’t do as Romans have already done!

In a world where things have been copied and re-copied to infinity and beyond, it’s hard to find originality and authenticity.

There are loads of content available to anyone online, but some – in fact, a good chunk of it – isn’t high-quality content. The web is flooded with ridiculous things, such as memes and other questionable content hidden in the dustiest corners of the Internet. Keep in mind that even those things have plenty of followers.

This, however, can be seen as an opportunity. If you are producing valuable content, whilst being your true authentic self, then people will seek it out. Gary Vaynerchuck, author of Crush it! backs this up: “Quality is a tremendous filter. Cream always rises […] no matter how many cups of coffee you pour” (pg. 32).  By building your own personal brand –something the online public eye can see and recognize as ‘you’– you can begin building your empire of followers. The key is authenticity.

No one wants to follow another Ray William Johnson because there is already one putting out the valuable content people want to see.

You’ve got to create your own brand, using what is different to anyone else: your personality! Every crook and fissure of your brain is different to someone else's. Use your personal brand to voice your thoughts and opinions. You can use this to make connections with people faster and easier than ever before, so use it to your advantage and begin creating content that people are thirsty to see.

Inspire and empower people in all aspects of their life is one of our core values as a company.

The Secret to Unlocking Innovation

Innovation brings success. Apple is the most successful example of innovation but there are many other companies which have been successful thanks to innovation.

The question is: what are the keys to innovation?

1. Have confidence in your abilities

More specific than having faith in yourself, it is vital to know unequivocally what you can bring to the table, and what you cannot. Know your strength, know your craft, whatever it may be, and hone it to the highest level possible.

Be an expert at what you love to do and make no apologies for your greatness. However, having confidence is not to be confused with arrogance. Know the difference.

Be the best, offer the best, be different than any competition.

2. Don’t be a fool, keep it simple

Great innovations make our world more efficient.  They are able to see a problem, simplify the problem to provide a simple and practical solution.

When solving a problem, ask yourself, “what process, service or product in our world is too complex, inefficient or poorly conceived.  How can I make it better, by keeping it simple?

This process takes discipline, it takes will, knowledge, research, time and focus – only thru these process will you be able to Innovate.

Moderation is the ultimate exercise of willpower.

3. Create the need.

In order to truly innovate, you must identify a need that is not currently met and fulfill it creatively.

Wherever there is a need, there is an opportunity for improvement. Innovators are able to think beyond traditional models and execute their vision!
